Cyclists from Botswana and South Africa gather in Jwaneng on 20 September for the Albert Milton Foundation AM640+ Charity Challenge. The 800km ride to Maun unites elite and corporate riders supporting community health and youth development.
The challenge honours late Debswana MD Albert Milton, marking what would have been his 64th year, with the plus denoting the extended journey. The Foundation plans a national cycling academy to nurture local talent.
Founder Albertinah Milton said covering nearly 800km demands discipline and resilience, but impact drives every kilometre to mobilize support for communities along the route benefiting from initiatives.
Bomaid contributed over P100,000 as headline partner. CEO Moraki Mokgosana will leads as Chief Rider, saying preventative health starts with daily choices and personal wellness can be a powerful vehicle for social good.
Through Thrive with Bomaid App, customers can convert points into donations. The ride ends at Bana Ba Letsatsi in Maun, supporting vulnerable children and youth, where Bomaid and Chobe Holdings donated three geysers for handover on 24 September, with Assistant Minister Lawrence Ookeditse expected at the official flag-off in Jwaneng.
